Helping the Global Community in a Time of Crisis
Date updated: April 6, 2020
Focusing on the remote community has always been our mission, but the way the new Coronavirus has impacted the world at large has opened our eyes even wider to how we all have an effect on each other. This global situation will truly require a united front that calls on individuals and organizations to help where we can.
This is why we’ve decided to put our efforts into supporting GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund. For the month of April, 10% of all proceeds from new jobs posted will go directly to Global Giving to help fight Covid-19. Not everyone is in a position to contribute, but the remote work community is filled with amazingly generous and kind people, and we wanted to put together a few resources for our community to help if they can.
Together we will help stop the virus's spread and give communities on the front lines of the crisis the resources they need to act quickly and protect the most vulnerable.
If you can help, here are some resources and initiatives that are helping fight the pandemic and support people affected:
The GoFundMe.org Small Business Relief Fund will provide micro-grants to qualifying small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Small Business Relief Initiative will supply financial assistance and support to businesses across the US by providing grants, tools, and resources to help during the crisis.
Support Local is an initiative that lets you show your support for your local businesses during this challenging time. Search (or add) your favorite local business and purchase a gift card now so that you can enjoy it later.

The CDP COVID-19 Response Fund will focus on supporting nonprofit organizations working directly to respond to the pandemic among the most vulnerable populations in order to help build their capacity for response.
